Art Machines krijgt een vervolg, na het succes in 2019 is er van 7 tot 11 december een nieuwe editie van dit festival op de grens van kunst en techniek. Creative Coding Utrecht, LIMA en Hoogt on Tour presenteren op 8 december de Art Machines Movie Night.
De filmavond van Art Machines wordt gecureerd door Media Art-pionier Edwin van der Heide. Geïnspireerd op het format van VPRO Zomergasten zal Sanneke Huisman (LIMA), van der Heide interviewen over zijn oeuvre, inspiratie, geluidsfeedback, visuals en narratief. Terwijl je ogen misschien louter toekijken, wordt je opnieuw geprogrammeerd: ontdek hoe je systemen kunt bouwen met Art Machines en hier mee in dialoog kunt gaan.

Art festival Art Machines presents a unique mix of experimental audio/visual art, talks, film and music at the intersection of art and technology. The festival brings together the history of media art with the avant-garde of digital culture. Creative Coding Utrecht, LIMA and Hoogt on Tour present the Art Machines Movie Night.
The ART MACHINES movie night is curated by Dutch Media Art pioneer Edwin van der Heide. Throughout the evening, inspired by the format of VPRO Zomergasten, Sanneke Huisman (LIMA) interviews him about his oeuvre, inspiration, and the notion of feedback in sound, visuals and narratives. Your eyes might be just spectating, but your circuits will be rewired: discovering how to build systems with Art Machines and dialogue with them will be an integral part of the journey.
